I’m so glad you’ve taken the time to be here, let me provide a little background.
First though, we meet a lot of people in our travels. Inevitably I am asked “what do you do?” my response is very simple… I help women get off the diet merry-go-round.
You now the one that cycles you through a desire to lose weight, making you so hungry and frustrated ALL THE TIME that eventually you can’t take it any longer and you EAT ALL THE THINGS.
Yep! You know and I know it all too well myself. I am here to tell you it doesn’t have to be that way!
I will show you how!
In a nutshell, I am a wife (married over 30 years), mom of 3 (adults), dog lover, military supporter, and travel enthusiast turned full time RVer.
My first career was as a dental hygienist, working in Naval Dental clinics. I loved it but needed a change.
In 2016, I started the journey to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. I went on to complete a combined internship/graduate program at the University of South Florida in Tampa. As I was finishing the combined program, my husband learned of a job opportunity in Naples Italy. We decided to apply thinking it was a long shot, but I mean seriously who wouldn’t jump at that opportunity?
Literally weeks after becoming credentialed as a dietitian we moved to Italy. Yep, just before the lockdown. As you know Italy was hit quite hard. We were under restrictions for most of the time were were there. I spent my time reading, working on continuing education and frankly unlearning a lot I thought I know about health, nutrition and body positivity.
I am done with diet culture messaging, which is all about conforming to unrealistic food restrictions and shrinking the body in the name of “health”. I have wasted way too much time and money on diets that were ‘the one’. You know the one that would make me happy with my body, only to fail and ultimately feel worse about myself. YEP, this diet mentality thinking even went on through my nutrition undergrad, graduate and dietetic internship programs!
Enough is enough! The saying goes, “when you know better you do better”.
I started my own business to support women who are sick and tired of giving their hard earned time and money to programs that do not work. Patricia Jakubec Nutrition focuses on Intuitive Eating, a NON-DIET, approach to healing the relationship with food, mind, and body.
My programs are for women, but the principles apply to EVERYONE!

All diet culture has ever done for me was lower my self-esteem, make me hate my body, skew my already poor relationship with food (due to food insecurity), increase the shame I felt, take my money, and generally make me miserable. Once I learned about Intuitive Eating, I applied the principles and did the inner work. Now I feel free to enjoy my life! I have to show other women they can do it too! Patricia
